he Duro series are the Rolls-Royces of the Conway Stewart world so I have devoted two drawers to them. Most of them are big and fat, though the series with higher numbers are much smaller. They were produced in the 20's and 30's. The no-number (=No.1) pens which I don't have in my collection are the most desirable, especially the big orange (= red hard rubber) ones. Many of them are button fillers. With their black blind-caps they look really nice though this filling mechanism didn't catch on in the later CS pens. Some of the Duro numbers are only known from adverts, and so I have written a small story about this in my "highlights" section.
